So Our team Rider Rosie O'Donoghue took first place in the female competition and the Richard Taylor award here is a Quick interview for you guys!

Name:Rosie O'Donoghue

Age:18

Were are you from?
Born in Dundee but now live in North Ayrshire

Ok so unless you have been under a rock you'll know, Rosie took this years Slamm Jamm title and won the Richard Talyor award. "Big well done" from us at Slaptap.

How does if feel winning The Richard Talyor award, it's such a big prize and means so much to many UK Rollerbladers ?
To be honest it still hasn't sunk in! It feels awesome to win and to be part of such an amazing award! It made my year for sure!

This could really help with your Skating in the next year and open a lot of doors for you. With big names in female Rolling in the UK like Jenny Logue and Jenna Downing are you hoping this will now open doors for you to becoming as much a known name as them. Would this be some thing you would like to do?
Yeah defo!

Are these people you look up to?
Yeah, since I started skating they were the rollerbladers that motivated me to try harder!

For other Girls who are just getting in to Skating do you have any advise?
Just to go for it and to have fun!

Have you been to the US before?
Yeah went to Dallas for the world championships in 2006

What are you most looking forward to?
The World Championships next year at Woodward it will be amazing!

This is the second time you have won Slamm J
amm. What do you think of the event and having it aimed for the AMs in the UK ?
I think slamm jamm is one of the best comps I have even been too! It gives everyone a shot!

I really noticed the amount of young blood the under 15’s are there any names from up north we should keep our eye out for?
Yeah defo, the likes of Jamie Noble and Stephen ward are really getting out there!

Thanks Rosie

Is there any one you would like to thank?

Would like to thank all my sponsors, Alchemy Skates, Unit 23 skatepark, Enigma brand, Evolution skatepark and of course Slaptap.
