............ Thanks to all our great supporters and customers as we finish we look back on great memories of a fantastic time. As we pass from the old team to the new the great news for our customers is that some of the old team will be continuing forward and the new team is very much blader based. We wish Chris Leaver all the best and have given him everything we can to support him in moving forward. We need a couple of weeks while we count stock and finish the accounting and administration before passing it all over ready for Chris to re-brand and re-stock. Please continue to support Slaptap which after all is only successful thanks to all our superb and loyal fans. We chose Chris to move Slaptap forward from a number of alternative bidders and think he will keep true to the Slaptap brand while hopefully giving it new added life.
............ WE ARE NOT CLOSING Slaptap is in the middle of being bought out . Please note we have just started to negotiate the take over of Slaptap and it will be carrying on in future under new owners hopefully to be passed over very soon. May we say thanks for everything to all customers team etc etc..... I would like to leave the letter below as it explains where we were before the buy out began but to urge you all to make the most of the sale which will continue till the new owners take over and re-stock. May we all apologise if stock is low and not up to our usual standard of display etc I'm sure the new owner will soon have things back up to scratch.

Hi and thanks for everything from Gill and Mike at Slaptap Limited................................. We have sadly decided to announce the closure of Slaptap after 3 great years trading. We are proud to say that during that time we have won runner up shop of the year and our team has won many competitions in the UK and worldwide. We have built a large and very loyal fan base and a well-respected successful Brand, Team and Skate school. Customers have been kind enough to praise our customer service levels and come back year on year to buy from us. We close with very many happy memories. So why close? We have got to a point where we need to expand the business and have considered many options all of which were possibilities. However for personal and business reasons we both want different things and could not find a way forward to suit us both and neither of us feel able to continue alone. We would like to thank each other for the great adventure, and everyone who has supported us with their time, effort, loyalty and also for their friendship which has made Slaptap the popular successful Brand that it has become. We have lots of personal thanks to say but you all know who you are including our clothing designer, film makers, editors, photographers, van packers, event and stand volunteers, superb suppliers and distributers who helped and guided us in the early days, skate school partners, Gill’s long suffering hubby John and daughter Jenny who volunteered tirelessly to support and advise us in countless very vital ways without which we could not have even got started. Last but not least may we say a huge thank you to customers for their loyalty and for supporting us and urge them to make the most of our SELL OUT sale go to www.slaptap.com for MEGA BARGAINS! We believe strongly that Slaptap is a great business and if anyone out there fancies continuing where we have left off - taking our great Brand forward - please contact us. We are open to considering quite cheap offers if it means the Brand goes forward. We also own the domain names www.slaptap.com and www. powerblading.com if anyone is interested in purchasing them. As a way of selling out quickly we are offering Ebay/Market Traders packs . It’s a great way to earn yourself some extra cash to fund your holidays or even your next few skates for free and it helps us get rid of stock sooner rather than later ! ( go to www.slaptap.com and look for TRADERS SELLERS PACKs in the drop down menu to find out more). These should be up on the shop by the end of next week.
